Flagler Beach city manager COVID-19 positive, city hall shut down

FLAGLER BEACH Interim City Manager Rick McFadden tested positive for COVID-19 Thursday, causing commissioners to shut down city hall and the building department until Jan. 19.
In the interest of full transparency, yesterday afternoon I was advised that I have tested positive for the coronavirus, said McFadden in a news release. While I am feeling mild effects of the virus, I am resting, upbeat and following the advice of medical professionals. I will remain quarantined at home until I can fully recover and return to work when it is absolutely safe to do so.

Flagler Beach City Hall & Building Dept. Closed Due To COVID-19

Flagler Beach, FL - Flagler Beach City Hall and the City s Building Department are closed and will remain that way until Tuesday, January 1p, 2021, after Interim City Manager Rick McFadden tests positive for COVID-19. In a press release, McFadden says that he found out that he tested positive yesterday (January 7) afternoon. While I am feeling mild effects of the virus, I am resting, upbeat and following the advice of medical professionals. I will remain quarantined at home until I can fully recover and return to work when it is absolutely safe to do so. City Hall and the City’s Building Department are closed so that both areas can be thoroughly cleaned and decontaminated.
