Meetings of the Interbank Currency Council of the central banks of Belarus and Russia and the Advisory Council on Foreign Exchange Policy of Central (National) Banks of the EAEU Member States will take place at the Berezinsky Biosphere Reserve in Belarus on 29-30 May.
The introduction of Belarus-Russia single currency is not a question of today, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko said as he met with Russia's Central Bank Governor Elvira Nabiullina, BelTA has learned.
The Belarusian economic authorities anticipate an increase in Russian oil imports in 2021. The central banks of Belarus and Russia are trying to move forward with integration as the parliaments of the two states are trying to coordinate foreign policy. Lukashenka, however, does not want to move towards resolving the domestic political crisis, preferring to external factors.
