BayMark Announces the Acquisition of First Louisiana Residential Treatment Facility

LEWISVILLE, Texas, June 24, 2021 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ BayMark Health Services has announced the acquisition of New Day Recovery, a residential and office-based opioid treatment (OBOT) company based in West Monroe, LA. BayMark has recently focused efforts on growing its footprint in the Residential Treatment space, with New Day being its second acquisition this year. BayMark now operates five residential treatment facilities including Greenstone Centre for Recovery in Bala, Ontario, Liberty Bay Recovery Center in Portland, Maine, Hope for Tomorrow in Point Pleasant, WV and New Day Recovery with facilities in West Monroe and Shreveport, LA. BayMark anticipates acquiring additional residential facilities, as well as centers offering other levels of care, before the end of the year. ....

New behavioral health wing opens at Gouverneur Hospital


GOUVERNEUR — During a private Open House ceremony Monday night, Gouverneur Hospital unveiled its new Outpatient Behavioral Health Services wing in the east side of the Hospital.
Gouverneur Hospital Board members Mark Brackett, Roger Cook, Andy Leonard, and Ted Totten; St. Lawrence Health Board Member Brian Gardam; Deputy Chief of Staff Logan Eddy from Senator Patricia A. Ritchie’s office; and Gouverneur Mayor Ronald McDougall were among those in attendance to learn about and view the new space.
Gouverneur Hospital CEO Eric Burch welcomed the guests and commented on all the successes the Hospital has seen come to fruition since it formally opened in January 2014. Some of the milestones include the completion of a $2.5 million renovation and expansion of the Emergency Department, upgrading Imaging Services with 3D mammography, and the relocation of Inpatient Detox services from Potsdam to Gouverneur. ....
