Congatec has announced a number of new rugged SMARC modules based on the Intel Atom x7000RE processor series (codenamed Amston Lake) and the Intel Core i3 processor.
For a few years now Canonical has partnered with Intel to offer Ubuntu images optimized for their hardware like with IoT initiatives while the latest now are new Ubuntu real-time images optimized for Intel Core usage.
Intel announced a 4-20 core Xeon D-2700 and 2-10-core D-1700 with up to 3.0GHz/3.5GHz clock, Intel DL Boost for AI, Intel TCC and TSN, 100GbE LAN, and up to 32 PCIe Gen4 lanes.
