A teenager has been charged after a stabbing of a 15-year-old. The boy, also aged 15 from Abbots Langley, has been charged and remanded in custody in connection with the serious assault. Police, including armed officers, were called to reports of a serious assault in Abbots Langley Wednesday afternoon (February 3). A boy sustained one stab wound during the incident, which is believed to have taken place between 4.30pm and 5pm in the Rosehill Gardens area, and he was taken to hospital. Hertfordshire Constabulary has said the boy remains in a stable condition but his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

Numerous police officers attended the scene including armed and dog units and a 15-year-old boy from Abbots Langley was later arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm and taken into police custody.

Alex Warwick, a mother of three, has been appointed as the new chief inspector of Three Rivers and began work at the start of this month in line with the new year. She takes the reins from the borough’s former Chief Inspector Adam Such, who is now leading the Constabulary’s Operations and Events team. The new chief inspector, who enjoys walking, reading and playing tennis in her spare time, said: “In the coming weeks and months I will be identifying the fundamental issues that affect the communities that call Three Rivers home and working with my teams to build a strategy to prioritise and tackle these concerns head on.
