The program itself is nationwide, and this is the first year the program will be in Helena, Montana.
As a partner, the volunteer will offer a support system to a veteran who has a life-threatening illness and is currently in palliative care, and does not have family support.
Victoria Cronin is a palliative care coordinator with MTVAHCS. Her job is to enhance the quality of life of patients who have severe or complex illnesses.

HELENA â St. Peterâs Health announced that they are the first health care system in the state of Montana to partner with Frontier OnCall to provide telepsychiatry services.
Should patients arrive in the emergency room seeking mental health care, St. Peterâs Health has medical professionals on hand to help, but if a determination is made saying the patient needs a visit with a psychiatrist, Peterâs Health can make a video call with their tech and connect the patient and a psychiatrist at that moment.
