Trying to prevent a vote on that union bill. mike tobin has been watching all of it. what is the latest? lots of ugliness in wisconsin s capitol. as we have seen throughout the process, republicans got everything they wanted in terms of limits to collective bargaining and democrats for all their demonstrations for the walkouts never gained an inch over this three-week period here. for the first time we saw the police actually put their hands on the demonstrators and move them from parts of the capitol. that is because they got in the inner hallways and prevented the staff members from getting into their offices. as they were led away, saying union solidarity type songs, gave the peace sign. you saw the capitol went into lockdown, the demonstrators stormed into the building at the top of their lungs. they pushed their way through doors. the republicans and staff were warned to stay away by police. ....
The demonstrators and that s because the demonstrators sat down in the inner hallways and blocked republicans from getting to their offices. and they ultimately the police got tired of that. they knew that the assembly hearing had to take place, so they started hauling them out. they go limp, give the peace sign, sing their solidarity song, and they go out. prior to that, police never made any arrests. the people that wanted to earn their civil disobedience badge by getting arrested, would be disappointed. they are wearing orange t-shirts or pins. they didn t have an easy time getting into the assembly earlier today as the capital was in lockdown. the capital had to be in ....
