Georgia s parliament approves new cabinet Georgia s parliament on Monday voted to approve a new cabinet led by Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili, the local sources reported.  During a special session, the lawmakers of the Georgian parliament confirmed the new prime minister and cabinet with 89 votes in favor and 2 against. According to the Georgian constitution, a new prime minister needs to secure a minimum of 76 votes in the parliament for his cabinet to be approved. Lawmakers from the United National Movement party and other opposition parties did not attend the voting. There are only two new ministers, Defense Minister Juansher Burchuladze and Minister of Regional Development & Infrastructure Irakli Karseladze, in the approved cabinet.
