Srinagar Indoor Stadium A COVID Emergency Care Centre Now

SRINAGAR: In wake of rising number of positive COVID-19 cases, Srinagar s District Administration on Monday converted Indoor Stadium, Haft Chinar as a COVID Emergency Care Centre. Deputy Commissioner (DC) Srinagar, Muhammad Aijaz Asad according to local news agency KNO said that a COVID centre for emergency has been set up at Indoor Stadium. Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Srinagar, Syed Muhammad Hanief Balkhi said that the patients with mild symptoms would be accommodated in the COVID-19 centres. Officials told the news agency that the Indoor Stadium will hold up to 120 beds. The Stadium turned health centre will also provide oxygen facility to patients.

Tourists Roam Inside Tulip Garden Despite Govt s Closure Order

Will Look Into The Matter Srinagar: Despite the government ordering the shutting down of Tulip garden in Srinagar, on Monday tourists were seen enjoying inside the Garden. The State Executive Committee in view of spurt in Covid-19 cases had ordered closure of all paid parks across Jammu and Kashmir. A group of tourists were seen taking selfies inside the sprawling Tulip garden raising many eye-brows. The pictures of the same went viral on social media platforms. Interestingly, a poster pasted on the main entry gate of the garden read: In view of Covid, garden closed for visitors. Pertinently, the decision to close the garden was taken in view of the spike in Covid-19 positive cases in Jammu and Kashmir after 2381 Covid-19 Positive cases were reported on Sunday.
