On 11 August the Belarusian delegation of manufacturers led by Industry Minister Piotr Parkhomchik met with senior officials of the St. Petersburg administration: St. Petersburg Governor Alexander Beglov, Deputy Governors Oleg Yergashev, Kirill Polyakov and Anatoly Poveliy.
"We can already see that the output and exports will keep momentum in January-July. We are confident that we will be able to maintain these rates by the end of September,” Industry Minister Piotr Parkhomchik said
“A pilot batch of 63 tractors will be shipped in the next few days. We are discussing a possible visit of the Minister of Agriculture of the country to Belarus. We are set to discuss the supply of about 1,000 tractors,” Piotr Parkhomchik said.
It was noted that so far this year the Industry Ministry has ensured the achievement of all the key performance indicators the head of state and the government assigned to the manufacturing sector. Tasks concerning future development of the country's industrial potential are successfully being fulfilled.
In furtherance of the agreements reached during the official visit of Samara Oblast Governor Dmitry Azarov to Belarus, a delegation of the Industry Ministry and a number of industrial enterprises of Belarus (BelGEE, BATE, MAZ, Belkommunmash, Mogilevliftmash and Horizont) began their visit to Samara Oblast with a tour of the largest automaker Avtovaz (20% market share in the Russian Federation).
