Gilbert + Tobin managing partner Danny Gilbert will chair an independent panel review into the proposal to develop a Dan Murphy’s retail outlet in Darwin.
The review was announced in mid-December by Woolworths Group into Endeavour Group’s move to develop a Dan Murphy’s store in Darwin, and will be responsible for providing a report to the Woolworths board about the adequacy and nature of stakeholder engagement relevant to the Darwin Dan Murphy’s development, including with respect to public health concerns, the extent to which stakeholder concerns were factored into decision-making, and best practices as they may apply to the supply and sale of alcohol from the proposed Darwin Dan Murphy’s development, particularly as it impacts the lives and best interests of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. ....
