A question about whether or not there would be any improvement on retirement benefits that were offered in healthcare but perhaps, biggest issue of all was automation. When i was at the picket line earlier this week at the port of newark, one of the busiest on the east coast, there were lots of signs. People say automation doesn t feed families. There was a lot of anger and concern that essentially that advanced technology would replace them and theirjobs. And that is what they saw this fight primarily being about. So the question is, will they be any progress between now and january 15? i have reached out to the union but haven t heard back as to kind of whether there has been any movement on this key issue. ....
