Rahul Dubey said he supports the peaceful farmers protests going on in India.
Dubey, who had sheltered 70 protesters during the protests against the killing of 46-year-old African-American George Floyd in the US, said in an exclusive interview with India Today TV that he supports the farmers’ protests in India.
During the interview, Dubey recounted how he had given shelter to 70 protesters in his Washington home after he witnessed the police unleashing pepper spray on people who stayed on the streets post 7 pm. The Time Magazine had described Dubey as “The man who gave shelter to those in need.”
Rahul Dubey said that he himself has faced racism and only came to terms with it when he witnessed the “Black Lives Matter” movement.
