A pilot was killed after two Indian Air Force fighter jets - Sukhoi Su-30 and Mirage-2000 - crashed today during a training mission. The Air Force is investigating whether the aircraft collided mid-air - which may have led to the crash.
This is not the first crash involving the MiG-21 fighter jets and it is often called ‘Flying Coffin’ and ‘Widow Maker’ for the sheer number of crashes it has suffered over the years, killing many pilots of the IAF.
