The economy rebounded in the July-September quarter of the financial year 2021-22 - surpassing the pre-Covid level as GDP grew by 8.4 per cent from a year earlier, government data revealed on Tuesday.
The foreign secretary emphasized India's economic growth trajectory despite challenging times, adding that the post-pandemic economy that will differ significantly from the present one.
The International Monetary Fund (IMF) retained India's growth projection at 9.5 per cent for 2021, after it downgraded the growth rate by three percentage pointsfrom 12.5 per cent in July, following the severe second wave of COVID-19 pandemic in the country.
