The compounds were issued under the Anti-Litter By-Laws (UUK) 1984 Kota Kinabalu City Amendment 2005.
Out of the figure, 42 compounds were paid on the spot, according to Mayor Datuk Noorliza Awang Alip, in a statement, Monday.
A total of 13 members of DBKK’s Solid Waste Management Department (JPSP) Regulatory Unit were involved in the operation conducted from Dec 1 to Dec 9 at the Centre Point Shopping Complex, Kg Air commercial area and Inanam Business Centre.
Noorliza said such operations will be conducted from time to time and the public are reminded to be equally responsible in maintaining the cleanliness of the city
