Tourism dept. organises capacity building prog.-May 20

The Tourism department in collaboration with Nagaland Tourism Association (NTA) KOHIMA The Tourism department, in collaboration with Nagaland Tourism Association (NTA), organised a capacity building and training for tour guides and homestay owners on May 12 and 13 at Hotel Metsuben in Mokokchung town coinciding with Moatsu festival, the premier festival of Ao community. An update from NTA stated that participants from Mokokchung including students and neighbouring villages attended the training. In a keynote address, Imtisenla Keditsu, senior tourist officer of Mokokchung, stressed on the need and importance of developing “our human resource” especially in the rural areas as Nagaland has immense potential in eco-tourism.
