Deadly storms and landslides are impacting asia. climate experts say there is no escape unless we do more to lessen greenhouse gas emissions. anna coren has more. reporter: the rolling frontline of the global climate crisis right now stretches through asia from japan and china to india. across the continent, stifling heat is giving way to torrential rain, swollen rivers and mudslides. in northern india, dozens of people have been killed in raging floodwaters. bridges, cars and homes crushed. roads flooded and washed away. survivors left to pick through the wreckage. translator: there was so much rain and flooding, it was that hard to advantage ate our families to a safe place because the area was inundated with water.

Oil prices. it s impacting asia very positively because asia is a net importer of all energy sources. countries like india, china, and japan are all going to be benefitting. we re quite positive that gdp will be incrementally stronger in asia in 2015 and 14. at the same time china will be incrementally smaller in gdp because they re going through this ten-year restructuring of its economy, trying to become less dependent on exports and much more of a domestic consumption society. they re trying to mayigrate to more of a service-oriented economy. but because of lower oil prices because of a better banking system and most importantly now a very aggressive central bank the surprise of 2015 is going to be the strength of europe. i believe, actually europe is going to grow in the first
