The slow loris was released at Pablakhali Wildlife Sanctuary today, said Moynul Haque, forest beat official of the area. Locals rescued the slow loris from Imam Para area last night, the official said. Ajit Kumar Rudra, Divisional Forest Officer (DFO) at Chattogram Hill Tracts (north division), said, Most of the creatures are often caught and beaten to death.
