CPRIT awards MD Anderson 16 grants to support cancer research and prevention

The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center today was awarded 16 grants totaling over $25.5 million from the Cancer Prevention and Research Institute of Texas (CPRIT) in support of cancer screening, early detection and prevention programs, faculty recruitment, and groundbreaking cancer research across all areas of the institution.

<p><a href="http://www.mdanderson.org">The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center</a> today announced the signing of an agreement with the <a href="https://www.iaea.org/">International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA)</a> to become an IAEA Collaborating Centre. Working together, MD Anderson and the IAEA aim to enhance radiation oncology, radiation physics, radiology, nuclear medicine and nutrition globally.&nbsp;MD Anderson operates the most comprehensive radiation oncology facility in the world and will be the first IAEA Collaborating Centre in the United States focused on health care.</p>
