The UConn track & field teams traveled to Tampa Bay, FL this past weekend to compete in the USF Invitational. Florida State's Ismael Kone and Jeremiah Davis were named Men's ACC Track & Field Runner and Field Performers of the week after outstanding outings at the Texas Invitational in Austin, Tex. this weekend. Kone ran the third fastest 100 meter in the country and Davis swept the long and triple jumps in FSU's final regular season meet.
“It’s fantastic to sweep the men's ACC performer of the week honors," Head Coach Bob Braman said. "I’m really pleased for Ishmael. He’s been working hard to get that magical sub 10.00 level, and Jeremiah is just great every time out. He’s just as consistent as it gets.”
FSU's next competition will be at the ACC Outdoor Championships May 11-13 at NC State.
