WOOD RIVER Lifelong Wood River resident Mike Anderson is announcing his candidacy for the Wood River City Council.
Anderson was appointed to fill Gale Ufert’s term following her death last year.
Anderson grew up in Wood River, attended St. Bernard’s Grade School and Holy Angels Parish. He is a 1986 graduate of East Alton-Wood River High School and is a graduate of Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville. An Illinois licensed professional geologist with more than 30 years of mining industry experience, he currently is a geotechnical investigator for the Illinois Mine Subsidence Insurance Fund. ....
