The Olu of Ilaro and Paramount Ruler of Yewaland, Oba Kehinde Olugbenle, and the Peoples Democratic Party in Ogun State have warned the federal and state governments against possible consequences of the killing of people in Yewaland by Fulani herdsmen.
Herdsmen had, on Friday night, invaded Igbooro, Oja-Odan in Yewa North Local Government Area of the state, leaving three dead and two villagers injured.
The marauding herdsmen had reportedly invaded the village close to Eggua in Oja-Odan around 11pm, shooting sporadically and setting ablaze three houses and storehouses in the village.
In the latest killing, a mother and her child were among the three persons hacked to death in their huts, while two persons were said to be in critical condition after they were shot by the herdsmen.

Tension brewed in Ogun State, yesterday, where hoodlums suspected to be herdsmen allegedly launched an attack on Orile-Igbooro in Yewa North local government area, killing no fewer than four persons.
Sunday Vanguard gathered that houses were set ablaze while several people sustained varying degrees of injury in the said attack.
Several other communities in the area were also allegedly attacked.

The Olu of Ilaro and Paramount Ruler of Yewa land, Oba Kehinde Olugbenle, has said there are reports of plans by herdsmen to attack major town in Yewa axis of Ogun State, asking President Muhammadu Buhari to “stop in the bomb before it is too late.”
In a statement on Saturday, Oba Olugbenle drew the attention of President Buhari and all the security agencies to what he termed the continued siege of the entire Yewa land of Ogun State in the last few weeks by “armed herdsmen and bandits, callously killing, including literally slaughtering and maiming our people.”
According to the monarch, “The criminal and dangerous activities of these herdsmen have so far happened in Egua, Oja-Odan, Igan Alade, Gbokoto, Ijoun, Owode Ketu, Ebute Igbooro, Imeko Afon and other places with reports of plans to attack major towns in Yewa land.”
