Qayamat’s script has taken the whole drama to a new level of height and fame as Rashid’s (played by Ahsan Khan) former love interest has once again come on board.
Ifrah (Neelam Muneer) has become much quieter since Urooj (Sidra Niazi) joined the clan in hopes of marrying Ifrah’s former fiancé Jawad (Haroon Shahid). In the meantime, Sana Fakhar is here to pep up the small screen with her high energy levels and the role of a stage artist and Rashid’s former ladylove Pari.
But again, it is not Pari’s love for Rashid but her need for financial support as she secretly blames him for being shot in an earlier accident. After all the loans she had to take for her operation, Pari has to insist Rashid for a reunion to save her family from entering poverty.

Nargis hasn’t given up on plotting against Ifrah
There seemed to be no hope of Rashid (starring Ahsan Khan) changing as a person in drama serial Qayamat, but somehow, he did. After isolating himself following the demise of his wife – who actually died of domestic abuse – the first thing he pledged was to be a great father when he held his newly-born daughter for the first time.
The serial went on and Rashid realised that he can still work on his marriage with his second wife, Ifrah (Neelam Muneer), now that it is apparent that she wasn’t here to make anyone’s life miserable. After her paternal uncle and father-in-law, Mukhtaar, returned the assets her father inherited, Ifrah went back to being the person who genuinely cares for everyone.

Pakistan’s entertainment industry has always taken pride in its TV dramas due to their strong storylines, characterisation and diversity of topics. After the emergence of the private sector in the television industry, our dramas have explored many new dimensions and become more commercial. Nowadays, people either love these shows or they hate them. A reason for some of the audience disliking the shows that are on air is that the same old storylines are repeated time and again. In 2021, several new drama serials hit our TV screens.
