DENVER â If your holiday travel plans puts you on Interstate 70 in Idaho Springs, expect lengthy delays, the Colorado Department of Transportation warned Sunday.
Crews will be paving the Westbound I-70 Mountain Express Lane project this week, prompting closures Sunday through Tuesday.
On Sunday, crews will clear snow and ice, and shift the barrier to prepare for paving. Only one westbound and eastbound lane will be open in a half-mile area of I-70 between Colorado Boulevard and Fall River Road exits in Idaho Springs.
