As reported by The Idaho Statesman, the Senate approved the measure Monday, 27-8. It had made its way through the House last Thursday to the tune of 57-12. Per the wording of the bill, it “[establishes] provisions regarding dignity and nondiscrimination in public education” and “[prohibits] the expenditure of moneys for certain purposes.” Prior to reaching the Senate for a vote, the measure was opened for public testimony before the Senate Education Committee.
