'Cancel Offline 12th Board Exams': NSUI To Stage Protest At Education Ministry Today

Image credit: Shutterstock New Delhi: The National Students’ Union of India (NSUI) has recently issued a statement demanding a better alternative of physical examination for Class 12 students. Opposing the decision of the central government to conduct the Class 12 board exams for this academic session, NSUI will hold a protest in front of the Education Ministery office “demanding the govt and the education department to look out for a better alternative for examination instead of physical examination,” said Lokesh Chugh, National Secretary of NSUI. UPDATE: Admissions are open at Manipal (MAHE) “The student community is under a lot of uncertainty and stress so in these times physical examination is not the correct solution. We want the govt should cancel exams and promote students on the basis of their previous exams,” the official statement said.

Centre to hold high-level meeting with states, UTs tomorrow to take call on CBSE, ICSE Class 12th board exams

Highlights It will discuss the proposals for the conduct of Class XII exams. The meeting will be chaired by Rajnath Singh, Ramesh Pokhriyal, Smriti Zubin Irani and Prakash Javadekar. New Delhi: The Union Ministry of Education on Saturday (May 22, 2021) announced that a high-level virtual meeting will be convened tomorrow (May 23) with all the states and UT Education Ministers, Education Secretaries and Chairpersons of State Examination Boards and stakeholders to discuss the proposals for the conduct of exams for Class XII and entrance examinations for professional courses. The meeting will be chaired by Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh in the presence of Union Minister for Education Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank , Union Minister for Women and Child Smriti Zubin Irani and Union Minister Information and Broadcasting Prakash Javadekar.
