South Charleston Mayor Frank Mullens gave updates, on Feb. 2, 2024, on Park Place Shopping Plaza, Kroger grocery store and a Jefferson Road construction project at the 32nd Annual Groundhog Day Breakfast in South Charleston. He said Kroger would start construction on a new grocery story in the new Park Place Shopping Center by September 2024. Dr. Gregory Rosencrance, president and CEO of WVU Medicine Thomas Hospitals also spoke about the health center s investment in the community.
