Mebourne dream pop outfit Hachiku released their debut album ‘I’ll Probably Be Asleep’ on Milk! Records in November 2020 and after a sold-out tour of Victorian album launches are finally able to celebrate its release interstate.
Expect a a full band performance showcasing old-time EP favourites, crowd sing-a-longs and fresh tunes off their new LP.
Hachiku s ethereal and catchy melodies, highly tasteful, textural guitar playing and shimmering walls of sound create a unique brand of left of centre shoegaze, with each song taking the listener on a melodic journey (THE MUSIC, Australia). ....

First 20 winners of Music VR Backers Fund revealed
The first 20 recipients of the inaugural Music VR Backers Fund have been decided.
The grants of $2,500 go towards the artists using live virtual reality technologies to connect with fans in new and exciting ways.
They take part in the inaugural virtual reality festival Beyond Boundaries, with dates to be announced soon.
“This is an exciting opportunity to have work presented in an innovative way that will hopefully bring my work which for me is embedded into thousands of years of my cultural connection as a First Nations person into the now,” Yorta Yorta hip hop artist and activist DRMNGNOW said this morning. ....

Hachiku is the brainchild of German bedroom-producer Anika Ostendorf who writes and produces her home-made brand of dream pop. Their highly anticipated first album ‘I’ll Probably Be Asleep’ is getting its rightful launch at this year’s festival.
