Court Summons Lagos Controller Of Nigerian Correctional Services To Explain Whereabouts Of Contemnor

A Lagos State High Court has summoned the state Controller of the Nigerian Correctional Services (NCoS) Alagbon in Ikoyi to explain whereabouts of a contemnor and Chairman of Confidence Cargo, Freight Forwarder, Dada Aigbe. The court also ordered that the Deputy Sheriff of the state High Court, Micheal Alogaga, appear before it on same day. Their appearance is to explain to the court the whereabouts of Aigbe. While the Sheriff is to explain to the court how he served Aigbe the court processes, the controller is to explain whether he was in the prison custody.

Confidence Cargo Chairman, Dada Aigbe Remanded In Kirikiri Prison By Nigerian High Court Over Contempt Not Taken To Jail After 23 Days

A Lagos High Court order that the Chairman of Confidence Cargo, Freight Forwarder, Mr. Dada Aigbe be committed to prison for contempt, has not been implemented 23 days later.  Last Friday, SaharaReporters reported that Justice M.A. Savage of the Lagos State High Court, Lands Division, had ordered the remand of Mr. Aigbe in Kirikiri Prison. SaharaReporters learnt that he was remanded for disobeying a court order and interfering in a land case, to which he was not a party.
