Today, one town that s making headlines is evans, colorado. a lot of damage to homes there. in fact, inspectors are going home to home, putting tags on homes based on whether they are safe to return to. a green tag means okay, yellow means use caution, orange means do not enter. we can tell you so far all but eight homes, chris, have received orange tags. a lot of devastation in the town of evans. joe fryer, reporting for nbc in colorado. in mexico, people have died there as powerful storms continue to pound both mexican coasts. hurricane manuel and tropical storm ingrid left a path of question instruction stranding thousands of people, cut off, some of the worst damage in decades. acapulco, beach property turned into swamp land. thousands of tourists finally getting a chance to go home. two airlines started flying out ....

Hurricane manuel hammering parts of mexico right now. hurricane made landfall again today in northwestern mexico and is heading inland. dozens of people are mizing after a mudslide buried homes in the small mexican village. some 40,000 tourists, many of whom are americans are stranded right now in acapulco. one woman said she has been stuck there for days. we tried to leave on monday. after we all got together in the car to go, and the road was blocked. we didn t get further than a mile. she says her situation is better than many others suffering there in mexico. manuel is just the latest punch from this deadly trio of storms that have slammed mexico in recent days. at least 80 people have been killed. and to colorado where thousands of people are homeless from the widespread flooding, ....

This morning as hurricane manuel batters the pacific coast. at least 80 people have been killed, dozens are missing after a mudslide buried homes in one community. 40,000 tourists, including americans are now stranded in the resort town of acapulco because of widespread flooding from the storm. that is where we find cnn s shasta darlington with the latest. reporter: chaos in the beach resort of acapulco. three days after manuel made landfall, the city s international airport submerged in waist-deep floodwaters. some 40,000 tourists struggling to get out after the worst storm damage to hit mexico in years here outside the air force base, there are hundreds and hundreds of people in line, really as far as you can see, many of them have been waiting all day and some even spent the night here. most of the tourists are mexican but we also find a medical student from los angeles. we tried to leave on monday. ....
