In February Charya Burt's dance/theater work, The Rebirth Of Apsara will have its final performance in San Francisco on February 4, 3 pm at Z Space's Steindler Stage presented by New Performance Traditions & Paul Dresher Ensemble. This performance follows a premiere on February 1, at Weill Hall Green Music Center.

Many of 2020’s horrors have imperiled our ability to breathe: a virus that consigns its afflicted to respirators and prompts everyone else to don masks; police violence runs so rampant that an officer of the law believes he can kneel on a citizen’s neck for eight minutes and 46 seconds, as part of his job; wildfires whose smoke makes it impossible to go outside.
