With 15 locations operating in the Philadelphia area, Dallas-based Smoothie King is targeting the market for even greater development. Although it has six units under construction there, the brand is seeking franchisees to help it extend its reach. We believe Philadelphia is a perfect place to expand our franchise for a couple reasons, Kevin King, chief development officer, said in a company press release. One, prospective owners have the opportunity to be one of the first to break into this great city and suburban market. Additionally, there s a large demographic of people here who want convenient, safe and healthy meal-replacement options to fuel their healthy and active lifestyles but don t have a place they can go to. Smoothie King made its debut Jan. 5 at MacArthur Commons, 2701 MacArthur Commons Road, in Whitehall Township. The location is across from Giant Food Stores.

A fast-casual beverage chain that bills itself as inspiring patrons to live healthy, active lifestyles has come to the Lehigh Valley.
Smoothie King made its debut Jan. 5 at MacArthur Commons, 2701 MacArthur Commons Road, in Whitehall Township. The location is across from Giant Food Stores.
Humza Tanvir of the South Jersey area, franchise owner, already owns four other Smoothie King locations in Feasterville in Bucks County; Marlton, New Jersey; Delran, New Jersey; and West Berlin, New Jersey. Tanvir earned a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey. He has previous work experience as a consultant in computer software.
Mario’s Italian Eatery, selling unique Italian-imported groceries alongside freshly-prepared Italian dishes made with longstanding family recipes, opened in mid-December at Easton's Simon Silk Mill.
