Yeah, a lot of us in the valleys are not feeling the high winds but i am monitoring the Mountain Wind gusts that have been up to about 58 Miles Per Hour in the last hour especially in the north bay. With the high fire danger, the low humidity and the high winds will make it very dangerous for any sparks that could spread rapidly and were going to continue to have this wind advisory, those high winds, through at least this evening. Were also watching some high waves along the coast, so well talk more about all of this in the forecast coming up. Mike, are you seeing any issues for the morning commute . Dozens of firefighters watching for hotspots following a raging fire at a warehouse. Crews arrived to see this. Flames shooting from the warehouse near tripaldi and hall road. The flames coming right out of the top of the building. Sending black smoke into the sky and orange flames are searing the building. When they got there, they had to focus to keep it from spreading from other buildings. No injuries were reported. A sign of the times. 25 First Republic locations in the bay area will close last year. Last year Jp Morgan Chase acquired First Republic which is one of three midsize banks to fail. We know the fda will meet thursday to consider emergency use authorization for pfizers coronavirus vaccine, but the cdc and operation warp speed have just told state leaders even if the vaccine is given the green light, the supply will likely fall short and that initially there wont be enough shots to fully vaccinate those groups designated as first priority. Vaccines. Today, the white house is denying the report that they passed on a big chance to have more Pfizer Vaccine doses available. When you look at the New York Times reporting, they say the Trump Administration turned down the offer from pfizer for more doses this past summer. This is how a former fda commissioner, also a pfizer board member, described it today. Pfizer did offer an additional allotment coming out of the plant, basically the Second Quarter allotment to the United States government multiple times. I think theyre betting more than one vaccine is going to get authorized and there will be more vaccines on the market and that could be why they didnt take up the additional 100 million option agreement.
