Everyone, and welcome to the amanpour hour. Here s where we re headed this week up first from a mental standpoint, the last time i saw him, he seemed fine to me. America s most recognizable dr. Anthony fauci on what he s witnessed about age in the executive branch and also the next possible pandemic. Also this hour how biden can change he s the conversation. I think the truth is, every time is on tv at the moment, you can have have your house in your mouth concerns about trump s rambling rallies. If donald trump were just a dribbling tool i d be a lot less worried and how to lose elections and still be gracious. We can argue vigorously as a prime minister, and i did over the past six weeks, but still respect each other. Then exclusive cnn reporting reveals israeli forces deemed abusive by the united in states and now shaping the campaign in gaza then as another tennis great calls game set and match on his career. Saying he will not support the legislation if it goes up for a vote. He will not have my vote on 3. 5. And chuck knows that. We talked about this. What s the urgency? what s the urgency that we have? it is not the same urgency we have with the american rescue plan. We got that out of the door quickly. That was $2 trillion. On top of that, the c. A. R. E. S. Package and everything leading up to that. We have done an awful lot. There are an awful lot of people who still need help. We have 11 million jobs needing to be filled right now. 80 million americans are out of work. Something doesn t match up. Don t you think we ought to hit pause. And more on the voting rights bill in just a moment. Still ahead, police plan to reinstall fencing around the capitol hill building and speaker pelosi will hold a security meeting tomorrow. And congressman murphy called on his republican colleagues to speak up. I m confident they will be prepared. But i am concerned about what is going to happen at this
Afghanistan at the mercy of the murderous taliban. It is beyond infuriating that biden began the week on vacatio at the taliban took over the country great we didn t hear from joe until monday. At that point, he was too scare to take questions. Biden s abc interview raised more questions about him in his team s decisionmaking skills. In fact, it wasn t until late this morning that the president s team apparently realized that maybe he shouldn head to his delaware beach hous today, he ll reportedly go tomorrow instead. He wants to stay in the white house during a crisis anyway. After hearing his disaster of a news conference today we can confidently conclude that the biden white house in cabinet ar members of the gang they can t shoot or talk straight. They are a basket case teeming with incompetence. After a week of mixed messages, they still aren t even on the same page. What interest do we have in afghanistan at this point? with al qaeda gone? could. We know that al qaeda is a a pr

Joshua johnson. Welcome to the week. I work a lot of saturdays but the senate really doesn t and we have been following a raresaturday session in the senate today. Senators are waiting for the final text of that bipartisan infrastructure bill. It includes $550 billion in new spending. Now, our understanding is that the text could come, pretty much, at any point this weekend. This evening, senate majority leader chuck schumer said that the senate remains in session, and the discussions are ongoing. After weeks and weeks of negotiations, the senate voted, wednesday, to advance the package, 6732. That number, 67, is key. That means, 17 republicans supported the move. And that is seven more than the 60vote threshold. But the bill they voted on was just a shell. It s a placeholder that the actual fulltext bill will replace. Clearly, leader schumer would like to see that text, asap. I have said, for weeks, that the senate is going to move forward on both tracks of infrastructure before the b
