A spokesman for Queensland Police said at 11.00am a car was pulling out of the centre parking spaces on Railway Street, Gatton, when it collided with another two cars. Witnesses told police they had seen an elderly woman driving the car. One female witness also told police she followed the alleged driver into town on Thursday morning and observed her driving slowly and swerving along the road.

Nervous parents lined the path to welcome the cohort of Year Sevens and their teachers as they walked into the hall for the first time. Father Noyichan M Antony of Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Parish, Gatton and Laidley, led the formal celebrations and said it was wonderful for the school to come together for such a momentous day, following a year of lockdowns and gathering restrictions. Aubrey Kilah was announced the 2021 Lockyer Valley Citizen of the Year. Citizen of the Year Aubrey Kilah and Mayor Tanya Milligan. Photo: Hugh Suffell. Lockyer Valley Mayor, Cr Tanya Milligan awarded Aubrey, or Aub as he is known, the honour at the official Australia Day ceremony. Aub has held the position of president of the local ambulance committee since 1992 and donates two days each week to the Blue Care book sale.
