(WALB) - City of Sylvester leaders are holding a special election to fill the Council seat of Ward IV, left open after the passing of the late councilman Larry Johnson. Election leaders told us only 46 people showed up for early voting which lasted three weeks, even though six candidates are on the ballot. Board of Elections Chairman Hugh Donnan doesnât expect long lines or waits on Election Day. He said âthereâs only about 800 people, registered voters in that ward. I wouldnât see any problems, because weâre setting up three machines for 800 people over a 12 hour period.â ....

(WALB) - Officials WALB News 10 that approximately 2,400 people have already cast their ballot in Worth County as early voting wraps up this week. They said there are about 13,000 active registered voters in the county. Election officials said they’ve had no issues with machines and said wait times are small to none at all. “All our machines have been L&A which is a logic and accuracy test before we start using them, and if they follow the rules and regulations, nothing will be wrong with them,” said Worth County Board of Elections Chairman Hugh Donnan. ....
