.- Understood to be the first eight-cylinder chassis completed and the third one registered, this wonderful Brough Superior 4.2-Litre Drophead Coupé has been in its current family ownership since 1960. It has had just four owners from new.
The first was Major Michael Wills of W.D and H.O Wills Tobacco, known for the square yellow tins their cigarettes came in.
This Brough Superior Dual-Purpose was manufactured in 1935 and fitted with the potent 4.2 litre Hudson eight-cylinder side-valve engine, of which only 25 examples were built, mated to a three-speed manual transmission. ....

17 Dressed Chickens Built a Living Legacy


In the pre-dawn hours of a Saturday morning in 1937, 24-year-old Victor Weaver and his wife, Edith, loaded 17 dressed chickens into the trunk of their 1936 Hudson Terraplane. They had prepared the chickens the prior afternoon in their small farmhouse kitchen in Blue Ball, Pennsylvania.
They took their cargo to the Sharon Hill Farmers Market, near Philadelphia. They returned to Blue Ball with an empty trunk, a little bit of cash and plans for weekly runs to Sharon Hill.
In the short space of a few months, the husband-and-wife team was processing 200 chickens a week for their blossoming business. They had outgrown the farmhouse, so they moved to nearby New Holland and hired an employee, Ben Burkholder, to help dress the birds and tend the market stand. ....

PINEY FLATS, TN - Edwin Dennis Lindamood, age 82 of Piney Flats TN went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, December 10, 2020. He was born on September 9, 1938, to the late Dennis and Ruby Lindamood. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife Janie Lindamood and his son David Lindamood. He was a graduate of Bluff City High School. He was a member of Enterprise Methodist Church in Piney Flats, TN.
Ed had many passions, one of which was welding. He was a Master Welder by trade for more than 50+ years and loved to teach others how to weld. He also loved old cars, especially Hudsons, and loved to get his 1937 Hudson Terraplane out any chance he had and just drive to nowhere in particular. He loved to go to car shows and hardly ever missed the car shows in Pigeon Forge and Elizabethton TN. He also loved going to the annual farm show each year in Louisville KY with all his farm show buddies and his sons. He loved to read, just a ....
