Share Judge Brad Henley Honored With Hall Of Fame Award The Greater Hubbard Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors recently selected Judge Bradford (Brad) L. Henley as its 2020 and 2021 Hall of Fame honoree. He was awarded at the chamber s annual banquet held this month. A longtime Hill County resident, Henley was recognized for being active in various area endeavors and continually striving to make Hill County a better place to live. He was born October 21, 1940, in Malone to H. F. and Rosella Henley. He attended Malone Elementary School and transferred to Hubbard High School, graduating in 1958. After graduation, he attended Angelo State College in San Angelo from 1958 to 1960. While there, he loved to rodeo and ride bulls in addition to studying. He also met the love of his life, and he and his wife Patsy were married on October 2, 1960, in Sonora. ....
Share Hubbard Plans Memorial Day Weekend Trade Days, Events A full three-day weekend of activities and events has been planned for Memorial Day weekend, May 29-31, in Hubbard during the annual trade days. Festivities will get underway on Saturday morning with the Hubbard FFA serving breakfast burritos at Hubbard City Civic Center, located at 300 Magnolia Avenue in downtown Hubbard. Proceeds support the organization and its young people. Roger Creech and his KHBR 1560 AM On-The-Go Radio Show will be broadcasting from the Civic Center on Saturday morning. After breakfast, there will be plenty of shopping opportunities at Hubbard s antique shops and stores, the many vendor booths at the Hubbard City Civic Center and the many garage sales that will be held throughout the city. ....
