Due to the large number of appeals – at least 75 – the Hubbard County Board of Equalization scheduled four hearing dates, beginning with Monday, June 13 and continuing through Thursday, June 16.
Hubbard County Assessor Jamie Freeman told county commissioners on Tuesday, May 17 that 49 taxpayers are appealing the valuation of their property, and she expects more. The board is planning to listen to appeals June 13-16.
County and city assessors recommended decreases for six property owners, and planned to bring at least 267 more appeals to the Hubbard County Board of Equalization next month.
