The district administration is ready with all the arrangements to ensure free and fair polling of Dharwad Lok Sabha seat. Union minister and BJP candidate Pralhad Joshi is seeking a fifth consecutive term and is facing Congress candidate Vinod Asooti in the elections. The polling will be held at 1,901 stations spread over eight assembly segments. Special arrangements have been made to beat the heatwave and high mercury levels, including providing shade, drinking water, ORS, fan facility, ambulance, and medical aid. More than 6,200 security personnel will be deployed to ensure free and fair polling in Dharwad Lok Sabha constituency's eight assembly segments. Prohibitory orders under Section 144 of CrPC will be in place during the polling period.
