BANGKOK: The Royal Thai Navy (RTN) and its US counterpart will on Thursday (Feb 22) start their mission to search and decommission hazardous materials on board the ill-fated HTMS Sukhothai, RTN chief Admiral Adung Phan-iam said on Monday (Feb 19).
Royal Thai Navy (RTN) Commander-in-Chief Admiral Choengchai Chomchoengpaet said on Friday that he would not leave a “mess” for his successor when he retires at the end of this month.
The Royal Thai Navy (RTN) will submit a court request to officially declare the five remaining sailors from HTMS Sukhothai, who are still unaccounted for, as missing persons.
The search for the five crewmen of the sunken HTMS Sukhothai who remain missing is still continuing, navy chief Adm Choengchai Chomchoengpaet said on Wednesday.
