I introduced that last congress and this bill would do that. how do you make sure if you voted your vote is being counted accurately if there is an audit or a recount? how do we make sure we are protecting ourselves from cyber security threats? this was all talked about yesterday. it is disturbing and something we all have to worry about. what can you do about it? the bipartisan effort that was put forward mitch mcconnell blocked. well, i hope the american people are listening because i believe that every member of congress, house and senate, listens to people back in their district. hr-8 was a big bill. i think there are pieces that can be brought out of it. i hope that we will do things like have a paper ballot so that they can be counted. i hope we can all agree that we need to make sure the resources there are to protect us from a cyber security viewpoint. i never give up. i am one of the eternal optimists. i hope there are pieces. ....

Of the issue. there is talk, big talk and plenty of proposals on the books in congress to change gun laws, but there are no actual plans for congress to pass them. cnn s phil mattingly spoke with two lawmakers who fall on different sides of the debate, both directly affected by gun violence. reporter: two lawmakers with personal experiences with gun violence on complete opposite sides of the gun debate. i urge my colleagues to vote yes on hr-8, the bipartisan background checks act of 2019. it is time. this is a bad gun control bill we ought to reject it. reporter: lucy mcbath s son was murdered in 2012. that and the fight for more restrictive gun laws is the reason she is in congress today. the fact that i am lehere ani ran on platform of gun violence ....
