AFTER 18 years with Mayhew, CEO Caroline Yates has stepped down as CEO to take up an internationally focused role within the animal welfare charity. Effective today, Howard Bridges has joined Mayhew as Interim CEO, bringing a vast amount of experience from the various senior and CEO roles he has held at animal welfare and veterinary organisations. In her new role, Caroline becomes Head of International Projects & Relations, reporting to the new CEO. She will create, drive and deliver the strategic vision for Mayhew’s international endeavours, which this year celebrate 20 years since the first pilot project in Russia. This early project actually led Caroline – living in Moscow at the time – to first hear about Mayhew, so it is especially fitting that today marks her journey coming full circle. ....
The Leader Newspaper Montgo This week saw four teams competing in a Texas Scramble sponsored by Mick Farmer. Although quite warm and sunny several members joined in the spirit and came looking to win the best dressed Christmas prize. Lots of Christmas jumpers, elves ears and sparkly bits. With a very festive and jewelled hat, this prize went to Glenys Cuming. The first scramble prize with a score of 59.4 went to Mick Farmer, Alan Lowans and guests Howard Bridges and John Day (good to see John playing with the Montgo again). Second with 63.5 were Geoff Willcock, Neil Cuming, Pete Turner and Caz Welch. Our other guest was Jorgen Mortensen. Montgo’s next game is on January 8 ....
