Mar 14, 2021 5:59 PM Edgewater, FL - A 60-year-old Edgewater man is charged in connection with the January 6th Capitol Riot. Howard Berton Adams Jr. was arrested Wednesday on a federal arrest warrant issued by the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia. Adams faces half a dozen charges: Obstruction of Law Enforcement During Civil Disorder; Obstruction of Justice/ Congress; Knowingly Entering or Remaining in any Restricted Building or Grounds Without Lawful Authority; Disorderly Conduct in Restricted Building or Grounds; Disorderly Conduct on Capitol Grounds; and Parading or Demonstrating in Capitol Building. The charges could result in up to twenty years in prison and fines. Adams was released on $25,000 unsecured bond on the conditions he surrender his passport and any firearms and undergo pretrial supervision.
