Hardin-Houston BOE approves personnel items
HOUSTON Personnel items, along with two donations, were approved during the Feb. 25 Hardin-Houston Local School District Board of Education meeting.
The board employed Nicki Miller as a substitute bus driver, for the 2020-21 school year. They also approved the list of certified substitutes provided by the Midwest Regional Educational Service Center.
Rebekah New was given a one-year limited contract, as junior varsity softball coach. Dustin Meyer was hired as the district’s On the Bus Instructor (OBI).
Donna Long was employed as a teacher under the 21st Century Grant for the 2020-21 school year.
The board approved all treasurer recommendations, including a donation for the Chester McKinney Memorial Press Box Fund, for $1,000, and for the Board Scholarship Fund, in memory of Tim Long, for $50.

Minster Board of Education
MINSTER Minster Local School Board of Education will meet Monday, Feb. 15, at 7:30 p.m. in the elementary school large group meeting room.
Items on the agenda include reports from administrators, approve the Memorandum of Understanding with the Minster Teachers Association Regarding Leadership Teams;the first reading of the Standards Based Teacher Evaluation Policy; approve personnel recommendations; and an executive session for the purpose of employment and compensation of a public employee and preparing for negotiations.

SIDNEY The Shelby County Board of Elections will meet Monday, Dec. 21, at 10 a.m. at the board office.
Civil Service Commission
SIDNEY The Civil Service Commission will be meeting on Monday, Dec. 21, 2020, beginning at 1 p.m. All Civil Service meetings are open to the public. In view of the orders and guidelines issued by the Ohio Department of Health and the CDC regarding the coronavirus and the prohibition on mass gatherings over 10 persons this will be a hybrid meeting. Civil Service Board members will meet in person. The public can access the meeting by telephone, tablet, laptop or personal computer.
