Microgrid Greater Good Award Finalists Announced


Microgrid Knowledge has released the names of the six finalists for this year’s Microgrid Greater Good Awards. From the six finalists, three winners will be chosen and announced June 1, as part of Microgrid 2021: The World Awakens to Microgrids, a free virtual conference that has attracted several thousand participants from across the globe.
Now in its third year, The Microgrid Greater Good Awards celebrate microgrids that fulfill a clear societal need and show how microgrids improve the human condition. Awards are granted in three categories: Highest Recognition for a Microgrid Serving the Greater Good; Greater Good Award for a Grid-Connected Microgrid; and Greater Good Award for a Remote Microgrid. ....

U.S. Midstreamers Eyeing Potential Gains in Permian, Beyond, but Need Oil Prices to Cooperate
The U.S. economy’s reopening amid the Covid-19 pandemic jump-started the oil and natural gas midstream recovery in the second half of 2020. But, the recent rise in oil prices could spur renewed activity in a handful of basins, benefiting some operators in the year ahead.
A Raymond James & Associates Inc. team, led by analysts Justin Jenkins and J.R. Weston, said operationally, the general consensus is that the Permian Basin would lead the next leg of performance among midstreamer companies, but the Bakken Shale/Denver-Julesburg Basin may need prices around $50/bbl to work. ....
