Indian Americans have an average annual household income of $120,000, surpassing all ethnic groups, as well as White Americans, according to a report released by the Coalition for Asian Pacific American Community Development.
But almost 7 percent of Indian Americans live at or below the federal poverty line, defined in 2018 — the year for which the report drew its data — as $12,490 for a single person, and $25, 750 for a family of four.
