To be elected speaker of the house? do you think he s going to get there? unclear at this point. he is certainly pushing ahead despite an uphill battle to get that 218 on january 3rd. so far we are reporting this morning that he is telling aides and allies that he s going to force if not one but multiple votes on the house floor on january 3rd which has not happened in over a century, jonathan, so clearly historic. the issue here is that there is a handful plus of republican conservatives who say they are unwilling or unable to vote for him and it s unclear what if anything he can do to actually secure their support. this is what he is going to be focused on for the next 30 plus days. so it s going to be a busy stretch. congress is back, senate and house. this lame duck session is going to be particularly well, potentially productive. democrats want to get a lot of things done. give us a summary of what some of the things they hope to ....
