Nbc s steve patterson has been talking with voters in two house districts in california. he joins me now from irvine. steve, what are you hearing? reporter: ali, it s a beautiful day in irvine, california. slight prebreeze, perfect for pumpkin picking. this is one of those republican districts that has it typically gone republican but went for hillary clinton in 2016. in other words, a prime target for democrats who are looking to flip key seats in these house races here in crucial california. this is you know, you ll find a segment of trump voters here, but this is not necessarily what you would call trump country. so we spoke to a lot of moderate republicans who feel like they constantly have to reconcile with what the president says with their issues and what they believe in. we spoke to parents who have little boys and little girls specifically about this issue that trump brought up about this
